SX1308 2-24V to 3-28V 2A DC-DC Step-up Boost Adjustable Voltage Converter Module

The SX1308 is a constant frequency step-up boost voltage converter for use in small and portable applications. The output voltage is adjustable using the onboard potentiometer, and can take input voltages as low as 2V and step up the output to as high as 28V at up to 2A maximum output current.
The SX1308 switches at 1.2MHz to allows the use of tiny, low-cost capacitors and inductors to provide a compact, economical and highly efficient power converter module. It features automatic shifting to pulse frequency modulation mode at light loads for higher efficiency. It includes under-voltage lockout, current limiting, and thermal overload protection to prevent damage in the event of an output overload. Internal soft-start results in small inrush current and extends battery life.

Operating Notes
- Adjust the potentiometer to control the output voltage, turn counterclockwise to increase voltage. Please note that the output voltage must be greater than the input voltage.
- The laws of physics apply to this module. The input power (Volts x Amps) must be greater than the output power, plus ~10% for conversion losses. For example, if your output requirement is 12V at 1/2A (6W), and your input voltage is 3V, then the input current must be at least 2.2A: 6W / 3V = 2A + 10% = 2.2A input current.
- The peak output current should be limited to 2 Amps maximum.
- If no output voltage is measured, the trimpot (potentiometer) may need several counterclockwise turns before you start to see any change in the output voltage.
